What We Teach

The Corner Classroom provides structured, live online learning for Nigerian children both at home and living abroad.

Using both the Nigerian and British Educational Scheme; Our services are designed to help children develop strong language skills, academic confidence, and practical abilities through engaging, age-appropriate instruction.

Parents can choose the subjects their child needs, with each class delivered in a clear, organized, and child-friendly manner.

We offer a range of subjects designed to support both cultural identity and academic growth:

  • Languages: Igbo and Yoruba (Beginner to Intermediate)

  • Academic Subjects: Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Literature In English, Christian Religious Studies, Technical Drawing, Physics, Agricultural Science etc.

  • 21st Century Skills: Digital literacy, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication skills, including introductions to Excel, SQL, Python, Website design, Graphic Design, Video Editing, PowerPoint, Word and Content Creation

  • Arts & Creative Learning: Drawing, Painting, Collage, Writing, Storytelling, Music, and Creative expression.

All subjects are offered as standalone programs by age group, allowing parents to select what best fits their child’s needs.

How We Teach

Our classes are delivered live and online using a combination of modern tools and interactive teaching methods:

  • Google Meet for live, teacher-led classes and real-time interaction

  • Google Classroom to organize lessons, assignments, and learning materials

  • WhatsApp for quick updates and communication with parents

  • Videos to explain concepts clearly and reinforce learning

  • Images and visual aids to support understanding and retention

  • Other visual tools such as slides and interactive materials to keep children engaged

We focus on small group sessions and structured lessons to ensure every child receives attention and support.

How We Charge

We offer flexible and affordable pricing to suit different learning needs:

  • Classes are charged per hour

  • Rates start from $7 per hour

  • Pricing may vary depending on the subject and level

  • Discounts are available for multiple subjects and siblings

All classes are live, interactive, and led by experienced educators.

How We Give Feedback

We believe parents should clearly understand their child’s progress. Feedback is provided through:

  • Verbal feedback during or after classes

  • Homework reviews and corrections via Google Classroom

  • Progress updates shared with parents through WhatsApp

  • Guidance on areas of improvement and recommended next steps

Our feedback is clear, constructive, and focused on helping each child improve.

  • 1-hour live online sessions

  • Fixed schedules with UK & US friendly time slots

  • Small class sizes to maintain quality

  • Recorded sessions available when applicable

Parents’ Role at Home

We believe effective learning is a partnership between our educators and parents. While all teaching is delivered live by our team, parents play an important supporting role at home.

Parents are encouraged to:

  • Ensure their child attends classes on time and in a quiet learning space

  • Provide basic learning materials such as notebooks and writing tools

  • Encourage practice and revision using shared recordings or assignments

  • Stay engaged by reviewing feedback and progress updates

We do not require parents to teach the lessons themselves. Our role is to provide structured instruction, while parents support consistency and encouragement at home. This collaboration helps children learn faster, stay motivated, and build confidence.
